A good scare is always good for a laugh in my opinion, to divert all that is happening in the world and economy.I usually collect and now i go out and get DVD's.Here are some of the movies i had watched all over the years, but some are not as available any more because of not being in circulation.( take note though some are not really under the horror genre and mostly are Asian movies)

Good Horror Flicks to get at BlockbusterNot a bad list Gordian,
I never really got into the Asian horror thing to much, I guess i am too busy watching all the martial arts films instead. Takashi Miikie is good and I will watch a few more of his films. Now some good horror flicks I have seen recently that I think are worthy are: Hostel Turistas (basically Hostel but the South American version) Cabin Fever (Great campy horror and gore) Wolf Creek (Aussie movie that is in the same vein as Texas Chainsaw family of films) Feast (good creature feature) The Descent (Low budget but damn good suspense film about spelunking) Black X-Mas (both the new and the old versions) Any George Romero Zombie Flick Behind The Mask, The Rise Of Leslie Vernon (This movie is a mockumentary but it is great comedy/horror, a must watch for Horror fans) Them (the french version not the 1950's creature feature, it's like The Strangers which is also a terrific film) Candyman Cannibal Holocaust (Truly demented film) Zombie Strippers (Jenna Jameson stripping and a zombie = cant miss entertainment) I spit on your Grave (Great revenge flick) Mute Witness The Omen series Suspiria (Dario Argento and Italian horror form the 80's is great campy fun) Dead Alive by Peter Jackson is a great visual feast to watch Calvaire (Belgian film but one I thought was done very well) Last House on the Left (I prefer the old version because you feel as though your are part of it all and kinda feel dirty afterwards) Straw Dogs (The European version, this movie isn't really a true horror flick but one that gets undder your skin) I will stop now as I can keep going on, but I will give others a chance to throw some movies out for people to take a look at. |

Good Horror Flicks to get at BlockbusterYou know I havent seen it in over 15 years but I used to really like "The Unholy", the one made in the late 80's. Also a big fan of Stigmata. But I am more of a comedy/crime drama kind of guy myself. Good post Gordy
