Game of the General

Inside the heart of every grown-up man is a young boy, dreaming about fast cars, G.I. Joe, and a grueling life in the army.Of course, that daydream would not be complete without a toy gun.

With a gun in hand, young boys can indulge in role-playing: they can be policemen, military veterans fighting for their country, and even FBI agents trying  to crack an important case. Whatever the scenario, guns sure help trigger any young boy's imagination.
Eventually though, all these Peter Pans grow up.They become lawyers, businessmen, politicians, doctors, and architects. But for some ,these childhood dreams never let up.Once or twice a week ,these grown-up kids trade their suits and ties for that of goggles and protective gear, and they transform into their childhood selves while playing airsoft.

A weapon of Fun, Not Destruction

Airsoft is a game popularized in Japan around the 70's, which soon spread to China, Taiwan, and Korea. Because owning firearms is prohibited in these countries, airsoft guns look a lot like the real thing. The difference can be found in its ammunition and power. Instead of bullets, airsoft guns use pellets. There are three types of airsoft guns: gas, spring, or electric.

Airsoft guns do not have the power or the capacity to be weapons of mass destruction, but it is still nonetheless a mighty weapon. When used wrecklessly, airsoft guns can seriously injure a person. If players don't wear proper protection, such as face mask and goggles, they can get hurt or even go blind. This is why marshals of the game, or the organizers have a lot of responsibilty. Besides, airsoft is meant as a fun sport. " It is all about camaraderie and bonding."
Airsoft is not just about holding a gun and shooting randomly. Like other sports, airsoft has rules and regulations which make it more interesting. Per gamethere are specific objectives and unlike other sports though, there is simply no classifying a good airsoft player from a bad one. The scenarios change, and the players are rotated. One's teammate now could possibly be an opposing player next. Because of this constant mix, players have to be flexible. "It is really about how you play, how honest you are, or how much of a gentleman you are when playing."

Just what binds these airsoft players together are basically the love for guns and the adrenaline rush when playing. There is also this inclination, even if it is a small percentage to join the armed forces. Military men or not, these airsoft players just never let go of their childhood dreams.

H1N1

As we go through our lives , we forget the simple things and be aware of what is happening to our world, as a person who cares for everyone who maybe he/she is, creed or race.
I have to put a blog that concerns us all,There are new diseases that had spread in our country that has been a source of morbidity to some state ,and being aware of it is the first step that all of us should be aware of ,it is popularly called swine flu because it is a strain of virus that was started from the pigs that we eat.The most important thing about is to prevent it by taking precautionary measures in our lives.First to use hand sanitizers and wash our hands when at home .Be aware of symptoms of the flu and be careful not to be caught in a crowded place where we can get infected, but it is how we try to make sure we are aware to be healthy that we don't get this virus.

   http://www.cdc.gov/h1niflu/

   http://www.who.int/csr/disease/swin
eflu/frequently_asked_questions/en/
index.html

The spread seems to be faster  than anyone can think of, with so many people all over the world travelling and coming in and out of every different parts of the world, known cases are in Mexico,Costa Rica,Canada,Japan,Malaysia, India to name a few. That is why stricter rules are now implemented by airport management to control this pandemic.

Much has been said and written about the Swine Flu Virus.
Reaction to the news that people in various locations have succumbed to the infection?
The saying still holds true that "an ounce of prevention is better than a pound of cure".

Here are some commonsensical tips
First, Is to always have a handy tissue paper.Use tissue paper to cover the mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing. Then be careful not to touch with your hands your nose, mouth or face too often so that respiratory droplets do not get transmitted to you.

Second, wash your hands frequently with soap and water.Alcohol based hand sanitizers also offer some protection in preventing infections especially, when one has no access to water. You may not be aware that objects you touch in the course of your work may be contaminated by the virus.

Third, Avoid large gatherings if there is a confirmed case in your area.Be careful especially in closed spaceswhere air circulation is poor.Individuals afflicted with swine flu virus can be contagious even before they demonstrate visible signs of the infection.

Fourth,  If you feel ill with the cold or flu-like symptoms stay at home.do not go to work.Instead,go to your doctor. If they suspect swine flu, they can give you information where to go for better and further screening.

In conclusion, The ways of ensuring you don't contract the swine flu are basic, honest to goodness cleanliness and healthy habits.Take Care.

The Man from Manila

The title may be inaccurate in a way but,as said by my colleague, it does not matter where you are but where your heart is at.
And believe it or not that is the best description i can define Manny Pacquiao. He has a heart of a lion and a determination that is unheard of.
He single handedly put boxing back to its glory days in a way.All  his pundits are in awe with him.
I am not an expert or i am not a fan that would kill for Manny Pacquiao,i am just an average joe who has followed his rise from the top.I try my best to be as skeptic about his chances in the ring in every fight.
I saw him fight as most all his fans had been doing and each and every time he had proven me wrong which is a good thing he made the pro boxing world in the public's eye smell like roses again.
Without all the politics and cheatings of it. Manny Pacquiao has always come on top above everything he had faced may it be on top of the canvass or below of it.
I would not put every fight i saw him fight but i saw him fight i think it is somewhere in an earlier part of his career when he has only one hand and speed as his main weapon and fought in an open field full of people clamoring to see their idol toy with a russian bantamweight.Which he just run over with, rushed head on with no regard and set up his punch by a simple right and left combo that put the poor opponent down with no much a single knowledge what had hit him.
While it is now in the present the name of a Puerto Rican "Miguel Cotto" appears to be the frontliner in the race to land a megabuck fight with Manny Pacquiao
The Filipino pound for pound king wants the fight that not only commands more money but the respect of the boxing world as well.
Pacquiao has been penciled to return to the ring on October 17 against a foe yet to be named and in a venue yet to be determined by Top Rank.
Head Honcho Bob Arum is reportedly more inclined to get it on with Floyd Mayweather Jr. than Miguel Cotto.which is a surprise to hear when his boxer is to fight Joshua Clottey next month.
Floyd Mayweather Jr. was the fighter regarded as the best pound for pound untils his supposed premature retirement in 2008 and that mythical title was passed on to Manny Pacquiao afterwards following a sensation a string of sensational wins.

Chuck Daly. The Man they called Daddy Rich

As i  had watched the Detroit Pistons at an early age being seated at the Madison Square Garden with my dearly departed father,in the early '80s just the same time as my interest in the NBA was peaking,.
I found myself watching the game, i just thought i would just be seating with my father eating my popcorn and afterwards buy my toy truck, but as the crowd raucously welcomed the Bad Boys.i became extremely curious on what was the commotion was all about.

Then my father told me this will be a good game to watch.
So trusting him i turned on watching the hardcourt and stop munching on my buttered popcorn.that really was one of the most memorable games that i saw in my life.
The team is full of players that no one loves and really when people and even fans of the other teams would boo or shout expletives at them. But they seem to be unperturb of everything that is going on.
But they would listen only to a man standing at the sidelines his arms crossed and yelling on top of his lung on the player that was walking toward him . and then when a time out was called i started ravaging on my popcorn and dr.pepper but again something caught my eye.

The man with the suit all neat and clean arguing with a man twice his size and i really can't hear them but i was sure they are really trying their best to really make their point. i never saw a man with so much conviction, that was the start of me as a young lad fancied watching the Bad Boys era.

I would never associate any coach with the Pistons other than Chuck Daly with all the accolades.
He would still be as pessimistic of losing and thinking they are not good enough.
He was an innovator.
A teacher
A  person that i feel would not last long with that bunch of misfits if he did not believe he is strong enough to be a part of them.
Any lesser coach would just quit and move on, not Chuck Daly he stick with them even if sometimes they lose games a lot.\
He would always be back in the sidelines plotting his next move.
I know it would be a hard sell on some people that to consider the prince of pessimism as the greatest coach in the NBA but surely he was a great guy and the NBA would not be the same without his colorful personality just like the team coached in the '80s and '90s.
